Vintage Belfont Opera Glasses Gold-Toned Mother of Pearl and Case

Description

This set of vintage opera glasses, with original leather case, was
manufactured
by Belfont in Japan.
The eye cups, focus wheel, and hinged bridge are gold in color. The body is inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels. The words “Belfont 3X coated” are stamped on the bridge back. At the front are the markings “JL” (for light machinery of Japan), B208, and the number 96.
The focus wheel shows a 2.87 magnification. The markings are a stamped diamond shape, with “TJK” (referencing Oriental Trading Co.) in the center and the word “Japan.”
There is light wear on the glasses and case. Please carefully examine the photos.
