The 6400-i premium ribbon tells you when it needs to be changed with the Intelligent Ribbon Minder. This new feature available only on the 6400-i printer allows the printer to detect when a new 6400-i Premium ribbon has been added and when it needs to be changed. Tied in with IBM's exclusive PMU (Printer Management Utility), any user, anywhere, can be alerted to the need to change a ribbon The 6400-i Premium ribbon features the patented "Clean-Hands" ribbon leader The 6400-i Premium ribbon is optimized for report printing, text printing, bar-code label printing, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) printing. Note: These yields are not a guarantee of minimum life and are not covered under warranty, but are provided to assist in supplies planning. Actual usage should be used to establish the life of the supply product in each end user's specific application. Many factors, such as print coverage per page, paper type and size, model typed and environmental conditions can affect supply life.
