    This listing is for an Antique Thimble Victorian Hand Etched Sterling Silver Size 7 Has Holes in Tip - Well Used
    The wonderful aspect of this thimble (in my opinion) is the fact there are holes actually worn through the metal in several places, meaning this thimble was used a great deal.  It is clearly of the Victorian Era.  I like to stop and ponder the many, many hours the woman who owned this thimble (over 150 years ago), spent with her sewing.  At that time, sewing was frequently done in a group with several other ladies to lessen the monotony of the task.  I like to wonder what were their discussions?  If this thimble could talk, I wonder what it would tell us??
    This thimble weighs 3.3 grams and is 3/4 of an inch high and 1/2 of an inch in diameter.
