An absolutely gorgeous 1871 seated liberty dollar graded AU 58 by NGC. It holds a superior strike among both sides with perfect original surfaces. Although we could not capture it in the images, it holds some blue and purple toning around the rims and throughout much of the reverse when it is being tilted in the light. This appealing coin has also been approved by CAC for quality.
This is one of the most common dates of the seated liberty dollar series with a mintage of 1,074,760. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 of these have survived today. This coin is one of only 87 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC. It is also one of only 12 approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
